The 2024 Terranean Grenache, our flagship blend and softest, most approachable wine, fuses wild strawberries, sagebrush, and red currants into a radiant reflection of Paso Robles’ sprawling terroir across three sub-AVAs—Adelaida, Templeton Gap, and Willow Creek. Drawing from four vineyards spanning every compass point—north, south, east, and west—this wine captures the region’s diverse essence. At its core, 50% comes from Lambooy Vineyard in the Templeton Gap District, where north facing slopes yield a unique umami expression of Grenache with a well rounded texture. Another 25% hails from G2 Vineyard’s manicured slopes in the Willow Creek District, lending vibrant florals and refined structure. The blend is anchored by 20% Worth Hill Vineyard adding savory and spice-driven complexity, while 5% Coakley Grenache infuses blood orange and sagebrush aromatics.

Blessed by the ‘24 season’s above average rainfall and warm summer, these vineyards produced fruit with intricate layers, deftly crafted with 35% whole cluster fermentation to enhance spice and tension. Guided by the many hands of our trusted growers this Grenache thrives on their collective vision and precision in viticulture. 2024 G2 Vineyard (Allocation Only)

100% Grenache | $85

ALC: 14.8%
AVA: Paso Robles - Willow Creek District
Vineyards: 100% G2 Vineyard
Drink: 2026-2042 | Serve: 60-64F

Our 2024 G2 Vineyard Grenache hails from an iconic benchmark vineyard in Paso Robles’ Willow Creek AVA, meticulously farmed by owner Bill Gibbs and his team. Rooted in southwest-facing calcareous shale soils, the 362-clone Grenache vines grafted in 2023 produce low yields of profoundly concentrated berries.

Shaped by above-average winter rains and a warm summer, the 2024 vintage delivers a textural Grenache of amplified red fruit, spice, and floral lift. With time, its savory depth will continue to unfold, while the site’s signature Paso Robles acidity promises an exceptional aging journey. We will be watching this wine closely. It is an honor to work with G2’s revered terroir, named for the steep slopes of Gasherbrum II and Gibbs’ second vineyard.

2024 Lambooy Vineyard

100% Grenache | $85

ALC: 14.6%
AVA: Paso Robles - Templeton Gap District
Vineyards: 100% Lambooy Vineyard
Drink: 2026-2042 | Serve: 60-64F

The 2024 Lambooy Vineyard Grenache stands apart in the Terranean portfolio. Our highest-rainfall site, set on north-facing slopes of calcareous soils with a touch more loam, and cradled by a surrounding oak forest. A newer planting established in 2022 and farmed by Mark Lambooy and Alterra Solutions, this unique parcel already yields a Grenache unlike any other we work with: vivid blue fruit, pronounced umami, and a striking sea-spray salinity that feels both unexpected and thrilling for the variety. Shaped by above-average rainfall and a warm, hot summer, the vintage is notably textural. Enjoyable young yet captivating with age. We are deeply excited about the potential and long-term future of this vineyard; it already delivers a singular expression of this Templeton Gap site.

2024 Coakley Vineyard

100% Grenache | $85

ALC: 14.7%
AVA: Paso Robles - Willow Creek District
Vineyards: 100% Coakley Vineyard
Drink: 2026-2042 | Serve: 60-64F

The 2024 Coakley Grenache, Terranean’s vibrant tribute to a premier terroir, beguiles with delicate floral aromas and a profound savory depth with notes of chamomile and orange rind crafted through 70% whole cluster fermentation. Sourced from the Coakley Vineyard in Paso Robles’ Willow Creek District, our coolest site, its east-facing calcareous slopes capture the marine layer’s cooling embrace, yielding grapes from Grenache clones 6.1 and 8.1—distinctive selections planted in 2018. These vines, thriving in Paso’s climate, produce our smallest berries with intense minerality and intricate layers.

Crafted with the guidance of Randy Heinzen, Jenny Heinzen, and their skilled team, with whom we collaborate, the Coakley Vineyard thrives under Randy’s expertise as a leading grower. With carefully curated varieties tailored to Paso Robles and precision in viticulture, its growing reputation as a premier site  signals a bright future for distinctive fruit. Rooted in a rich agricultural past, the site, nestled at the corner of Vineyard Drive and Highway 46 West, was established in 2018 by John Coakley, with blocks named for his grandchildren, reflecting his enduring vision. The 2024 Coakley Grenache, with its bright acidity, mineral-driven complexity, and vibrant floral-savory notes, promises an enthralling aging journey, rooted in the distinctive terroir of the Willow Creek District.
